OUR own MC server

So I got an idea to make our own MC classic server.

Why MC classic?:

*More players on classic = more members on forums
*Customs
*Custom ranks
*Highscores
*Minigames (infected, lava survival, etc.)
*WoM (hack)
*...

The only problem:

I understand that you can buy a host for relatively cheap, around €12.00 a month (the last time I checked, anyway). I think it may be a bit extra to add over 10 players or plug-ins. That could be within someone's price range. I imagine there are probably very few people here that have access to some means of paying for the service online.

Besides this, I COULD MAYBE PERHAPS, not promising anything, MAYBE host a MineCraft server... Maybe. I used to host one pretty regularly for friends. The only problem is that the performance isn't fantastic and it tended to struggle with more that 8 or so players. As well as that, I don't know how good the connection would be from outside the country. And on top of it all, I'm probably on a different time-zone to most of you.

If you want to give it a try, this week would be the time to test it. I could host it from 10:30 - 02:00 GMT (on average). I'm probably not the most reliable host. Also, there are some nights I may not be able to host.

I'm definitely not the best person to host this server, but I could do it if you're stuck for a host.

I could host a bukkit server (hamachi needed for cracked and non cracked versions, I would create a new network) and can easily install plugins if you want me to but the server can't be 24/7 online. When would you like to have the server online?
(I'm not sure if I'm a good hoster, you know I can't let the server the whole time online.)

It's just the oldest version of Minecraft, check it out: www.minecraft.net and go to multiplayer.

Bukkit is more stable I think.

kaiser already has his own server and he put it back up but he still needs to update it to 1.4.2

Kaiser forgets to save and everyone is admin.

what is the server ip?

the server is whitelisted, u need to ask kaiser to put u on it so u can enter the server, he'll give u the ip when or if he adds u
