WATCH OUT WITH JAVA!

Hi guys, as you may know i'm active on a rsps called Near Reality.
Well i'm a coder myself and this may be important for people who play runescape / runescape private servers.
So i copied this from Near Reality's forum.

Summary:

When you visit a website, for example our webclient, you have to actually click run when the java box pops up, then our code executes on your computer so you can play the game. With this exploit, a person can link you to a site, and then have their code execute WITHOUT you hitting run. Their code can be anything.

You can just disable java since you probably don't need it. You can do that as follows:

In Firefox: Press Firefox button -> Add-ons, go to Plugins and click the "Disable" button next to anything named "Java".

In Chrome: Type in: "chrome://plugins/" into the address bar (no speech marks). Scroll down to Java and click disable.

In Opera: Type in "opera: plugins" into the address bar (no speech marks). Scroll down to:
Java(TM) Platform Disable.
Java Deployment Toolkit Disable.


I suggest disabling java on your main browser, and using a different one (even if that means Internet Explorer)

Nice a new exploit is made now it just makes JAVA less safe -_-

why can't they just keep java the same
